Our Story

Long before the late-night FaceTimes and shared Apple Music playlists, RaShaun and Chyra spent four years walking the same high school halls at Dr. Henry A. Wise Jr. High School. Chyra was the vibrant cheerleader with big energy and even bigger bows. RaShaun was more lowkey — calm in the chaos, usually playing the background and quietly observing. They had mutual friends, were probably in the same class or at the same events, and likely passed each other more times than they realized. But somehow, they never truly met. At least not yet. After graduating in 2011, they went their separate ways. RaShaun headed to Mount St. Mary’s University. Chyra took on Towson University, then USC. Both were growing, healing, figuring life out — becoming the versions of themselves that would one day be ready to cross paths. Then came 2020. The world hit pause. Everything slowed. And in that stillness, as always, God was working behind the scenes. One day, Chyra posted an Instagram story about her dog Moe, who had just eaten an entire pack of bologna. RaShaun responded with a few laughing emojis. That was the DM that changed everything. (So very millennial, we know.) It wasn’t love at first sight, however. Chyra was so deep in her I.N.D.E.P.E.N.D.E.N.T. era. And RaShaun was floating wherever the wind blew her. Things started off light — DMs, texts, convos about TV shows and movies they were watching in quarantine. Then came the FaceTimes. One turned into every night. Virtual dates that went until 2AM. No awkward moments, no pressure — just an effortless connection that kept unfolding. From there, love didn’t just happen — it grew. Slowly, intentionally, with rhythm and joy. They found their groove in music, concerts, and the underrated magic of simply doing life together. Chyra brought laughter, spontaneity, and full-on main-character energy into RaShaun’s world. RaShaun brought calm, protection, and the kind of love that doesn’t need to be loud to be solid. Yes, Chyra — the stubborn Taurus — took a little time to crack. But RaShaun — a Sagittarius through and through — showed up with patience, charm, and the kind of presence you don’t forget. Over the years, they built something real — something rooted in prayer, partnership, and playlists that always hit. Now, they’re stepping into their next chapter. Not because either of them was incomplete — but because together, they’ve built something that finally feels like home.
